🔒 Short version: Free Auto Captions AI does not collect, store, or transmit your images, videos, or audio files. All processing happens inside your browser on your own device. We don't have a server that receives your files, so there is nothing for us to store or share.
Who we are
Free Auto Captions AI is a free, browser-based web application providing image compression, background removal, and automatic caption generation tools. This privacy policy describes how the Free Auto Captions AI website and web application handle your information.
What data we collect
Free Auto Captions AI collects the minimum data possible to operate:
- No image data: Your images, videos, and audio files are processed entirely within your browser using client-side AI models. They are never sent to our servers or any third party.
- No account data: Free Auto Captions AI does not require registration or login, so we do not collect email addresses, passwords, or any personal account information.
- Basic web analytics: We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (such as anonymised page view counts) to understand general usage patterns. This data does not identify individual users.
- Advertising: We display ads through Google AdSense to support the free service. Google AdSense may use cookies and collect data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
How your files are processed
When you use Free Auto Captions AI's Image Studio or Auto Captions tools:
- Your files are loaded directly into browser memory (RAM) on your device.
- AI processing is performed by models that download to your browser cache once and then run locally using WebAssembly.
- Processed outputs (compressed images, background-removed images, caption files) are generated in browser memory and offered to you as downloads.
- When you close or refresh the page, all file data in memory is cleared automatically by the browser.
Third-party services and CDNs
Free Auto Captions AI loads AI model files from third-party content delivery networks to enable local processing:
- jsDelivr CDN — used to deliver the HuggingFace Transformers.js and Xenova Transformers libraries. These CDNs may log your IP address as part of standard CDN access logs.
- HuggingFace Hub — AI model files (RMBG-1.4 and Whisper) are downloaded from HuggingFace's model hosting infrastructure on first use. Subsequent uses load from your browser cache.
- Google AdSense — display advertising. See Google's privacy policy for details on how they handle advertising data.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
Free Auto Captions AI itself does not set functional cookies. Google AdSense, if served on this site, may set cookies for advertising personalisation. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or Google's ad settings.
Children's privacy
Free Auto Captions AI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
